How to Generate Infrared LED Flood Light

A circuit configuration that uses infrared frequency to provide lighting over a large area is called an infrared flood lamp. Although completely undetectable to the human eye, this infrared-illuminated region may be clearly seen with specialist infrared instruments and infrared cameras.

This post examines a basic infrared flood light system that may be used to monitor a wide area at night by lighting up huge expanses with infrared spectacles.

How the Circuit Works

The following design depicts a basic IR flood light circuit schematic for IR illuminating operations. Basic voltage doubler circuit 4049 raises the 9 V supply to about 15 V, which is subsequently employed as the supply voltage for the 555 pulse modulator portion that follows.

To drive the IR LEDs that are connected, the voltage is appropriately pulsed according to P1 and P2 parameters.

This circuit's primary feature is its ability to produce brilliant amounts of infrared light (IR) using a single PP3 9 volt battery.
